TODAY IS THE DAY I WENT OUT AND SPLURGED ON THE THINGS I LIKE...WITHOUT HOLDING BACK.
After Grad, we ate sa Dads kasi nagccrave ako ng Japanese food…ahahaha, syempre di to kasama for today kaso nakalimutan kong ipost kagabi kaya ngayon na lang :)))
After returning my toga at UST, I went to SM North so I can canvass for a new phone. Kaso narealize na ng katawan ko na tatlong slice lang ng ham ang kinain ko nung tanghali kaya ayun nahihilo na ko. First Stop : Tokyo Cafe! I forgot na ang serving nila dito ay good for two kaya ayun, medyo natagalan matapos at ninanamnam ang bawat subo :))
After Tokyo Cafe, I wondered what I want to do…after realizing na medyo matagal tagal na akong di nakakanood ng sine plus di ko pa napapanood ang Hunger Games I opted to watch it on my own. I was searching for a decent place to watch without the usual fangirls and the people who were unfamiliar asking a lot of questions, but the good seats were taken and the people were all buzzing with a lot of Hunger Games related stuff. Knowing that those seats were trouble I chose to sit near the screen where fewer people were sitting. After a few minutes a woman seated near the edge of my row and during the capitol scenes her phone rang and she, right there and then, answered the call…what’s worse was she was talking so loud I got irritated. "nanonood ako ng anu ba yun hunger games….kwento pala to ng mga laban laban"…"ayun sinabi ko sa kanya na pumunta sa bahay…"…" ahahahahha…ganun ba eh kasi naman" nagchikahan pa sila ate sa sinehan, jusko!
The movie adaptation was OK, just OK. I commend that they stayed true to the book but everything was rushed. The first parts were soooo good…it was just then and there I finally figured out how Gale and Katniss’ relationship was, how Prim and their mother affected Katniss and how grandiose Effie Trinket was. The parade was awesome, I was beginning to feel that the story was escalating to a new level of awesomeness, but when the games started the energy and the flow gradually went down the drain. I wished they didn’t focused much on the time Katniss slept. I hoped they developed the sisterly connection between Rue and Katniss and the gradual development of Katniss and Peeta’s relationship. I expected the movie to get more terrifying during the games but it didn’t. I was expecting to feel the terror of death looming behind every tree, every hill, every stream and every rock but it seemed that the arena was too “safe”. Even though it felt bland, lacking the essence of fear and anticipation I loved the movie…it was made well and it was a joy to see the careers get killed one by one (especially Glimmer and Clove).
After the movie, the canvassing and after celebrating Clove’s death I decided to go and grab myself my fair share of milk tea…but I saw something interesting, Taho Boy :) I ordered one and sped off to Moonleaf Congressional.
I texted Marga (my highschool friend) if she was attending her Zumba class(?), since Moonleaf was just situated below the gym I told her I’m hanging out there. Luckily, she’s just finishing her class and decided to hang out with me there. I saw the Crave Burgers sign and suddenly I felt the urge for more protein…then I found myself pushing the door and ordering a burger. I wanted onion rings but they ween’t available so I had to stick with the fries. Lalalalala…I ate my share of protein while watching Vin Diesel jumping off a plane, fighting the bad guys with both hands tied, shooting a runaway person while driving a car, talking on the phone in his underwear and fur jacket, and receiving a badass modified muscle car…dayum!
After a greasy protein dinner I passed by this cute dessert cafe just beside Moonleaf, I decided to buy mudra, pudra and the kids some treats :) I bought them red velvet cupcakes and smores cupcakes :)
After buying ze family some sweets, I met with Marga at Moonleaf…since there were no seats vacant we sat near the counter and did the “evil eye” so people would leave :)) Marga was waiting for her ate and their two cousins to arrive so she would have somebody with her when she goes home. After a couple of minutes they arrived and seats became available, drinking my Jasmine Green Tea the awkwardness somehow became a fun “bonding” session. Befor I went home I ordered another drink..this time it was their House Milk Tea with Aloe :) So much for detoxifying….ewan ko na lang kung anu ang lagay ng tyan ko nito bukas :)))
So there’s my splurge day, a treat for myself, by myself and with myself…almost. I just wish I could have spent it with you…then this day would have been so epic :)
We were practicing partner stunts and it seemed like it was a chasse, jete, mount to liberty O_O WTF?! Ate Grhea, my senior and flier, asked me if we could partner up and practice the same partner stunt…but since I have no fucking idea how the mounting of that stunt would be possible I passed. I passed to ate Grhea’s invitation to do lifting just in time for Ate Batche to drag me to help teach Folk Dance. It appears that it was a huge group of aspiring Salinggawi dancers :)) so I then proceeded to show how is the posture when dancing Folk Dances. Rain (amateurdreamer) and my batchmate Abi, were teaching on another room conteporary jazz, I’ll try to remember the song :)) Then Kuya Rye called in one by one those who will train for a cheering routine, my name wasn’t called so I was there sitting sad on the corner. I was sitting with Clint wondering why they didn’t call me, considering he was way more capable than me, then suddenly an outburst of “tawag ka!” came and I was hurriedly putting on my Slippers…WTH is wrong with me, Slippers?! so after struggling to wear my slippers I then went to choose weights…but was unsuccessful in finding the right weight I need for the warm up. So Kuya Rye just said “wag na, tapos na yung sa weights” then we proceeded to do Leg Lifts…
Ceremonial “EXIT” on the Arch of the Centuries. Urban Legend has it na pag tumawid ka sa lialim ng Arch eh di ka gagraduate…nobody dared this, i think :)) It’s only “safe” to cross during this ceremonial crossing after the baccalaureate mass :)
